in 1985 by brothers Denny Leach and Tom Leach, Artistic Finishes
got its start as a contract finisher of wood window parts, kitchen
cabinet doors, retail fixtures and flat/lineal components for various
original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s). This experience
taught them a great deal about cutting-edge wood finishing techniques
and technologies, from both the equipment and coatings perspectives.
But it wasn’t until 1995 that the company began to evolve
into a hardwood molding manufacturer. At this time, the Leach’s
uncovered an unmet need in the flooring industry for hardwood moldings
that offered the finishes and hardness to match the new generation
of prefinished hardwood floors.
In conjunction with their supplier partners, the Leach’s
pioneered the development of a new highly durable finish utilizing
100% solids UV curable stains, sealers and clear coats. Utilizing
its core competencies, the company developed automated, highly customized
processes to apply these coatings in a controlled, consistent manner.
Focus on finish clarity, color, grain definition and durability
combined to create a premium molding on which the company offered
a Lifetime Warranty. This was, and remains, unique in the industry.
Today, Artistic Finishes is proud to be the premiere prefinished
hardwood molding and vent manufacturer in the hardwood flooring
industry, manufacturing our own Artistic Touch® prefinished
hardwood moldings brand, as well as producing product for leading
hardwood-flooring manufacturers. We currently service the United
States, Canada and Mexico through our authorized distributor network,
which in turn services retail dealers.
Artistic Finishes, Inc. is an active member of the National
